Pricing Assistant Manager role from a Life and Health Reinsurer (Malaysia)

Our client is now looking for dynamic individuals to join them as an Assistant Manager, Pricing. In this role, you will be a key contributor in the areas as follows:

- Conduct pricing assessments and prepare comprehensive pricing reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.

- Implement and monitor internal and external controls to ensure adherence to established pricing guidelines and regulatory compliance.

- Perform annual reviews and detailed experience analysis to update existing pricing structures, aligning them with organizational goals.

- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to develop new pricing bases and stay current with industry trends and best practices.

- Review and analyze drafted treaties and addendums, offering recommendations for modifications or improvements where necessary.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide guidance related to pricing and treaty matters.

- Support the development of competitive pricing structures to ensure the company's profitability while managing risk effectively.

- Assist in additional tasks as needed to meet departmental objectives and support organizational success.
 

Requirements:

- At least 4-5 years of pricing experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of pricing methodologies, risk assessment, and financial modelling.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and actuarial modelling software such as Prophet, AXIS, SAA, or similar, to support pricing analysis and reporting.

- Strong knowledge of VBA/SQL programming or other modelling skills to optimize and develop pricing models effectively.

- You are a self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address pricing-related inquiries and concerns.

- Have strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a keen affinity for numbers and attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of pricing calculations and reports.

- The ability to work under tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of work quality and consistency.
