VP, Actuarial Valuation from a Life Insurer (Singapore)
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead and perform valuation projects assigned which may involve solvency, balance sheet and profit & loss management, bonus investigation, stress testing, etc.
- Support valuation reporting work if needed. Lead and support asset and liability management
- Support new product assessment, including but not limited to reserving/solvency bases review, valuation modelling requirements etc Manage and support assumption review
- Share ad-hoc projects with other deputies in the team
- Manage and complete ad-hoc projects, provide guidance to junior colleagues
- Work closely with the group office and external Actuarial consultants, ensuring adherence to the company guidelines and statutory regulations
- Opportunity to expose to/involve in the discussions and meetings with senior stakeholders within the organization
Qualifications
- Newly/Nearly Qualified Actuary from a recognized Actuarial examination body
- At least 8 years of Actuarial experience
- In depth experience with reporting processes and the reporting control environment
- Knowledge of Singapore reporting standard, RBC2, is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and at times rapidly evolving priorities
- Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong Prophet skills is an advantage
- Team managing experience is an advantage
